I've had my Master's of Social Work for over 15 years, working in mental health basically the entire time. I've worked in every level of care, inpatient to outpatient. No diagnosis scares me - I've really seen just about everything there is to see. I specialize in CBT and Exposure Therapy (ERP). I'm also quite skilled with Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Behavioral Activation (BA), and Motivational Interviewing. I taught at Loyola University's Carthage location as an adjunct professor teaching the above therapies to the next generation of therapists, and have presented at professional conferences on ethics and meditation. Like most people, I've struggled with my own issues, as have some members of my family. However, through hard work and development of skills, I've learned to deal with these things, and so can you. I love video games, gardening, cooking, woodworking, and talking about philosophy and life more broadly. I've always been a bit of a geek. And yes, of course I made this web-page myself. Whatever it is you're looking for, I've got the experience to help you out. I love getting to know people and helping them to work through problems. This is why I chose this profession. Why not reach out and let me know what questions you have? I'd be happy to answer them. |
