Alana Scheifen, BSCounseling InternHi, I’m Alana. Therapy is a place for the hard and uncomfortable, and also for lightness and laughter. You’ll notice my smile and laugh show up often. My goal is to create a space where you feel safe, heard, and validated, while we also find small moments of relief along the way.
I’ve worked in mental health since 2022, starting in residential treatment with adolescents and young adults. I’ve supported clients with anxiety, depression, OCD, ADHD, autism spectrum disorder, borderline personality disorder, eating disorders, and substance use. I hold an associate’s degree in Human Services from WCTC, obtained my bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Lakeland University, and I’m currently completing my master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at the University of the Cumberlands. In session, I draw from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), and Behavioral Activation. Becoming a therapist has been my dream since I was 14. Listening, connecting, and problem-solving come naturally to me, and my own experiences with mental health strengthen my belief that growth and healing are possible. I feel honored to walk alongside clients as they build skills and move toward what matters. Outside the therapy room, I’m an artist at heart, often with paint on my hands. I love baking, hiking, and thrifting for little treasures. I try to find something to be grateful for every day, and I bring that practice into my work. I’m excited to be part of your journey and grateful for the chance to walk alongside you. |
